Software Toolbox Enhances Custom OPC Server Toolkit Software
SLIK-DA Features Support for OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA)

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 13, 2011 – Software Toolbox® today announced the release of SLIK-DA V5 with UA. This updated version of the Simple Language Independent Kit for Data Access servers (SLIK-DA) now provides an effortless solution for adding an OPC Unified Architecture interface to custom applications in the latest development and operating environments.

The SLIK-DA 5 extends the user’s data exchange options by allowing them to create a custom OPC DA and UA server using a simple API that abstracts the complicated OPC and COM details from the developer. It allows the user to add OPC server capabilities to existing applications, or create an entirely new custom server implementation that can be as simple or complex as the user requires.

The SLIK-DA 5 continues its goal of providing a simple, yet flexible OPC server development toolkit that can be used in a variety of environments and languages. It expands support for all current operating systems, such as Windows 7 and 64-bit systems. It also allows users to take advantage of the latest in .NET technology, with support for the Visual Studio 2010 development environment.
